At the annual Member Forum on Tuesday evening, the Club announced the ambition to set a new membership record of 50,000 members by Christmas.
Previously in 2016, the Club set a record by achieving 46,000 members by Christmas and we are calling on supporters to increase this effort and Don the Sash for 2018 now.
Members are the lifeblood of the club and are crucial to both the on-field and off-field success.
With a record membership of 67,791 in 2017 (as quoted by the AFL) and a top 8 finish, the Bombers are poised for bigger and better things in 2018.
Membership of the club entitles fans to exclusive inner sanctum access, value for money packages and the flexibility to choose whether they want to stream games live from the comfort of their couch, reserve a seat or choose when and where you want to sit.
The time has come to commit, become a true bomber and Don the Sash today.
Chief Marketing Officer, Justin Rodski, urged fans to join as a member as we enter an exciting time for the Club.
"Nearly 42,000 members have already committed to Don the Sash in 2018 which is really significant," Rodski said
"Our aim is to reach 50,000 members by Christmas for the first time in our history.
"In 2017, we had an all time high renewal rate (88%) with 50, 827 members renewing.
"Currently we still have close to 30,000 members from 2017 to sign up in 2018
"There is a great sense of excitement and optimism around the Club ahead of next year.
"We play an exciting brand of football, we have recruited really well through the trade and draft period and we have a talented list capable of improving again next season.
"Our members continue to be the most loyal and passionate in the competition and there is no better time to be a part of the Essendon journey as a member."
