Here are some of the players pushing for a call-up this week after strong VFL performances against Port Melbourne.
James Stewart
Stewart was the Dons best in the forward line, finishing with three goals from his five scoring shots.
After the first four rounds Stewart has kicked eight goals for the Bombers and taken 24 marks.
Tom Bellchambers
After an encouraging display in the AFL last week, Bellchambers was again a strong performer at VFL level. He competed well, winning 29 hit outs and taking two marks.
Bellchambers has averaged 32 hit outs per game in the state league this season.
Dylan Clarke
Clarke was impressive across the midfield, racking up 26 disposals. He was tough around the contest, laying four tackles and taking five marks.
The 63rd pick in last November’s National Draft is continuing to be a leading ball winner, averaging 22 disposals and taking 17 marks over the first four rounds.

James Ferry
Ferry was outstanding in the backline, repelling a number of the opposition’s forward thrusts.
He finished with 23 disposals and took ten marks in the defensive half.
His impressive performance over the first part of the season has landed him a spot in the state squad for the second year in a row.
Nick O’Brien
O’Brien was again a standout, finishing with 39 disposals and one goal. He also took eight marks.
The midfielder has averaged 28 disposals, five marks and two tackles this season.
