Darcy Parish says he’s ‘pulled up well’ after making his return to the field on Saturday.
The 19 year old played a full game in the VFL after overcoming a calf injury.
He was one of the Dons key ball winners finishing with 27 disposals, four marks, two tackles and a goal.
“The body is feeling really good,” Parish said.
“I had a couple of training sessions in the lead up to the game and bit of a run around match fitness wise.
“It was great to get back out there again. You obviously miss footy being out for a couple weeks so it’s just great to be out there running around.
“I pulled up well after the game so I’m ready to go.”
The Dons claimed a 15 point victory over the Seagulls in a game where the lead changed hand several times.
The Bombers were able to remain composed throughout the final stages of the match to hold on for the victory.
“We had a big focus on the contest and our method around the footy,” Parish said.
“The whole team played their role, across the board everyone did what they had to.
“We had to keep coming back to the basics; our contest and method and just doing them well.
“I think the boys did that consistently throughout the day and it really showed towards the end.”
The match marked the first time Parish has played for the VFL side in his season and a half at the Club.
“It was a great game, a debut for me, to finish the way we did was really good,” he said.
