Summary 
It is a little surprising Devon Smith has not polled more votes in the coaches' award given his impact at the Bombers this season, but at least the club's three trade recruits – Smith, Jake Stringer and Adam Saad – have all polled solidly. Dyson Heppell's impact through the midfield makes him the club's clear leader in the AFLCA and also in the Brownlow Predictor, but it's been a lean year so far for votes in that department. Zach Merrett led the Bombers' Brownlow leaderboard last year with 15 votes but will need a brilliant run in the second half of the season to top that.
