Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell is set to take part in a special fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal at the Melbourne Star on Friday morning.
Campbell will take part in the second edition of 3AW’s Escape from Neil’s Wheel event, which will see a number of celebrities and influential people locked inside one of the observation wheel’s pods until a minimum of $10,000 has been raised for the appeal.
The club is proud to be a part of the occasion ahead of this season’s Good Friday Kick for the Kids match against North Melbourne on April 19.
Broadcaster Neil Mitchell will lead this week’s event, which is aiming to raise at least $236,000 for new state-of-the-art anaesthetic machines and patient monitors for the hospital.
These will ensure the latest technology for the delivery of anaesthetic agents and the latest innovations in patient monitoring technology are available for the Royal Children’s Hospital’s special patients.
The event will be broadcast live from the base of the wheel across the morning, and Campbell and all other participants will be interviewed throughout the show.
If you would like to play your role in helping Campbell reach his goal, you can donate to the important cause via the link below. The fundraising will open at 8am this Friday.
