Essendon Football Club’s coaching panel will be strengthened by the support of national transport and logistics company Border Express.
Border Express has today extended its partnership with the Bombers, becoming the club’s official coaches partner, as well as shorts partner for the 2019 season.
Border Express is a national transport and distribution services company with a strong capital city and regional network. With roots in Albury in 1957, the family-owned company became Border Express in 1981 and continues to be one of the best and most respected express freight services in Australia.
Joining the Bombers in 2017 as official shorts partner, Border Express will now move to become the club’s sole coaches partner for a further three seasons until the end of 2022.
CEO Xavier Campbell thanked Border Express for its support of the Bombers’ coaching panel on the eve of the 2019 season.
“We’re thrilled Border Express are extending their support of our club. For Border Express to not only extend their partnership, but broaden it, is a wonderful show of faith in the direction we’re headed and we’re particularly grateful for their backing as we get set to kick off our 2019 AFL campaign this Sunday,” Campbell said.
“We look forward to working closely with Mostafa and his team for at least the next four years.”
Border Express CEO Mostafa Kassaby said both organisations shared many key values.
“The past two years’ partnership experience has shown us how professional a football club can be. Essendon Football Club is certainly that. Importantly for Border Express, both organisations are closely aligned in the quest to creating industry-best cultures,” Kassaby said.
“Our focus at Border Express is about continuing to strengthen and grow our leaders and through our coaches partnership with the Bombers, I’m confident both organisations will share experiences and benefit one another in the future.
“We look forward to working closer with John (Essendon senior coach John Worsfold) and the team.”
