The Essendon Football Club is saddened to learn of the death of longstanding volunteer John Synan, who died on March 11 at the age of 83.
John Synan was a loyal club volunteer for over 18 years. He coached Little League teams that included Dustin Fletcher, Mark Harvey and Mark Mercuri among others, and also worked as the club doorman for eight years.
John welcomed players into his home over many years, billeting both Peter Somerville and John Barnes at different times.
The Essendon Football Club sends its sincere condolences to the Synan family.
