Essendon Football Club wishes to congratulate Ash Brown upon his appointment as Carlton’s general manager of women's football.

Brown departs the Bombers after nine seasons with the club, most recently in the role of VFL and VFLW operations manager. 

General manager of football Dan Richardson congratulated Brown on his appointment.

“While we’re disappointed to lose someone of Ash’s calibre, we’re pleased he has secured this opportunity to lead Carlton’s women’s program,” Richardson said.

“He played a key role in establishing the foundations of our VFLW program and built terrific relationships at the club throughout our football programs.

“We wish Ash, wife Lisa and their families the very best for their next endeavours.”
