It is time to let the Essendon Fans Takeover! This year we will be letting supporters “takeover” the @EssendonFC Twitter account during certain games. 

Here is how it works:

From the first bounce until the final siren, Essendon supporters can "live tweet" their commentary using the hashtag #DonsTwitterTakeover.  

Throughout the game, the @EssendonFC account will retweet supporters who use that hashtag.  This will form the @EssendonFC coverage of the game. 

Through your retweets, @EssendonFC account followers will be able to follow along with what's happening during the match.

So how do you get retweeted?  Well, if you follow @EssendonFC, you know that we don't like "black and white" tweets.  We like to have fun during games, frequently using GIFs, memes, highlights and commentary to get excited about the Club.  

The more authentic and entertaining your tweet, the more likely we will retweet it.  

And of course, only tweets using the hashtag #DonsTwitterTakeover will be considered.
