Star Bomber Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti has been nominated for both the Fan Fave and Clutch Play of 2019 in the AFL Fan Awards.

Immensely popular across the league for his thrilling game play and class both on and off the field, McDonald-Tipungwuti is up against Richmond’s Sydney Stack, West Coast’s Liam Ryan and Collingwood’s Brodie Grundy for the Fan Fave award.

The brilliant forward’s stunning match-winning goal in the dying stages of Essendon’s clash with North Melbourne in round 17 will be etched in the memories of all red and black fans.

The incredible moment has been recognised among the nominations for the Clutch Play award and will see him take on Lion Lincoln McCarthy, Blue Marc Murphy and Docker Michael Walters.

Boom Essendon recruit Dylan Shiel is also in the running for an award, nominated for the Recruit of 2019 following a terrific inaugural season in the red and black. His fellow nominees are Brisbane’s Lachie Neale and Jarryd Lyons, and Richmond’s Tom Lynch.
