Despite being disappointed with the Bombers exit from the finals on Saturday night, Engine Room fan in the outer David Thurling was pleased with how the second half of the season went for the team.“In a weekend of uncanny similarities, the Bombers relived their nightmarish version of ‘Groundhog Day’, in an all too familiar fashion at a sodden AAMI stadium. The AFL could be accused of running repeats, so similar were the circumstances that lead to the Bombers meeting their recent nemesis Port Adelaide in a cut-throat semi-final. No doubt, the re-runs of this forgettable game will be prime time viewing across syndicated networks west of Bordertown.” Click here to read Thurling's full column.
