Essendon Football Club is proud to formally announce Strathmore Community Bank as the club’s official Youth and Education partner for the next three years.
Strathmore Community Bank, a local branch of the Bendigo Bank, will fund a number of initiatives and equipment to be used as part of the club’s suite of Youth and Education programs.
Programs such as On the Ball, Kinder Carnival and Train Like a Bomber will all benefit from increased investment and resourcing, as will the club’s new innovative learning environment The Flight Deck.
Essendon’s Youth and Education Ambassador Tom Bellchambers said the club was excited to announce the partnership with Strathmore Community Bank.
“It is a great initiative by Strathmore Community Bank, they fund a lot of what happens at the club in regards to our youth and education programs.”
“They help make it a fun and exciting way for the kids to learn and engage in an inner sanctum experience from the football club.”
Peter McKie, Chairman of Strathmore Community Bank, said the partnership was an important initiative for the Bank and an example of its community engagement philosophy.
“Our partnership consists of us promoting the youth and education program which is something we are heavily into,” Mckie said.
“As a community organization we are continuing to look at more avenues where we can put our funds to enhance the community.”
Essendon’s Head of Community Cameron Britt praised Strathmore Community Bank for their ongoing support.
“Having had a relationship with the Strathmore Community Bank for a number of years now, we are very fortunate and thankful for this increased level of endorsement and support over a further 3 years.”
“The Bank are a genuine pillar within the Strathmore and surrounding regions, their progressive and socially-minded position is quite evident and has lead to a very effective partnership with Essendon’s community program”.
