Essendon Football Club is delighted to announce it has broken the club's all-time membership record with a total of 50,493 proud and passionate members already signed up in season 2013.

The club eclipsed the previous record of 50,271 set in 2011 over the weekend with Don and Kari Conroy, from Denver Colorado signing up as the record breaking members ahead of the Bombers’ win against the Saints on Saturday.
Essendon Chief Executive Officer Ian Robson thanked the club’s members for their ongoing loyalty and passion.

“Members are the heart and soul of our football club and on behalf of the board, staff, coaches and playing list – I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the supporters who have signed up as members and helped the club reach this milestone,” Robson said.

“A powerful Bomber army has emerged this year and it is this unwavering support that has seen the Essendon family unite together like never before.

“We are all a part of the journey together as we strive for our next period of success both on and off the field. Our next target is 55,000 members.”
