Elijah Tsatas and Archie Perkins will both miss Essendon’s round three clash with Port Adelaide due to respective finger and quad injuries.

Scans confirmed Tsatas broke his metacarpal during the pre-game warm-up of the Dons’ defeat to Adelaide on Saturday, while Perkins sustained a minor quad strain during the second half.

Tsatas will have surgery for his finger on Monday afternoon, with Perkins also beginning his rehab this week.

With the Bombers’ bye scheduled for round four, the pair are only expected to miss one game and will look to the Gather Round clash with Melbourne in round five for an expected return to play.
