Essendon has enjoyed a fulfilling first day of their Community Camp.

Beginning with a cultural session and smoking ceremony on the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung lands, groups of Bombers travelled around the surrounding suburbs in Gisborne, Castlemaine and Bendigo throughout the afternoon.

Getting amongst their loyal fans around the region, the Dons visited a number of schools including Jye Caldwell's old primary school, Maiden Gully PS.

Q&A's, signatures, and footy clinics were the theme of the day, with several young Bomber fans relishing the opportunity to meet their favourite players.

The Dons continue their Community Camp with an open training session at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve on Tuesday morning, where the playing group will spend more time with fans for signatures and photos after 12pm AEDT.
