Captain Zach Merrett has been recognised for his standout season by earning a spot in the 2024 All-Australian squad.
The 28-year-old is gunning for his fourth award after earning spots in the 2017, 2021 and 2023 All-Australian team.
Merrett was a consistent shining light for the Bombers in his 23 matches this season.
The Dons skipper averaged a team-high 28.2 disposals 7.1 score involvements and 4.7 inside 50s, while being ranked top three at the club with an average of 9.6 contested possessions, 4.3 clearances, 2.1 centre clearances and 5.0 tackles.
Merrett will find out whether he joins club legends Terry Daniher and Simon Madden in winning four All-Australian awards on Thursday, August 29.
