Essendon Football Club has made changes to its list today, with Nick Hind, Tex Wanganeen and Kaine Baldwin informed that they will not be offered playing contracts for 2025.
The club thanks the trio for their contribution to the Bombers.
Hind joined the Bombers from St Kilda in the 2020 trade period and played 74 games in the red and black, adding to his 21 at the Saints.
Father-son Bomber Wanganeen signed with the club during the 2022 Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period (SSP), playing five games in his debut season in 2022, with injury limiting him throughout his time at the NEC Hangar.
A 2021 SSP signing, Baldwin played eight games across his four years in the red and black, with a navicular injury ruling him out for the entire 2024 season.
General Manager – AFL, Daniel McPherson acknowledged their impact on the club.
“Nick, Tex and Kaine have all been popular members of our footy club who showed resilience and determination to get the most out of their footy careers during their time with us,” McPherson said.
“We thank them for their contribution to the red and black and they leave knowing they will always be a part of the Essendon footy club. We wish each of them all the best for the next stage of their careers both on and off the field.”
