Essendon has made two changes to its round 24 team for Saturday night's clash with Brisbane.

The Bombers' final game of the 2024 season will see the farewell of one of its favourite sons in Dyson Heppell, who returns for his 253rd and last AFL match. Heppell will become the equal 14th player in Essendon games history, tying with club champion James Hird.

Forward Matt Guelfi has also earned a recall after successfully recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in round 19.

Making way is defender Sam Weideman (injury) and small forward Jye Menzie (omitted).
