Essendon are confident Sam Durham will be right to take his place in the line-up against Richmond for Dreamtime at the ‘G on Saturday night.
The midfielder didn’t return after leaving the ground early in the last quarter of Essendon’s win over North Melbourne last Sunday with an ankle injury, but subsequent scans on Monday showed no structural damage.
Defender Jordan Ridley made a successful return from a quad injury through the VFL last Sunday, recording 19 disposals and five rebound 50’s in the first half of a win over North Melbourne’s reserves.
Ridley was rested after half-time as planned for load management.
As reported on Monday afternoon, midfielder Darcy Parish has suffered a minor calf strain and will aim for a return following the mid-season bye.
Midfielder Will Setterfield is progressing well in his rehab from a knee injury, and after a few minor setbacks is hopeful of a return to play in the next couple of weeks.
