Essendon has named its side to take on the Swans at the SCG this Saturday night.
Star duo Sam Draper and Darcy Parish are among four inclusions for the Bombers, who will also welcome back experienced defenders Jayden Laverde and Nick Hind after performing strongly in last week’s VFL practice match against Box Hill.
Parish was medically cleared to play this week after overcoming a minor hamstring strain, with Draper returning to the AFL line-up off the back of three consecutive VFL appearances in his recovery from a groin injury.
Among the four outs from last week’s side that defeated Hawthorn are three forced changes, with Zach Reid and Matt Guelfi missing to injury and Mason Redman to a one-week suspension.
With the restructuring of the line-up, young forward Harry Jones has been omitted this week.
Jones, Ben Hobbs and Alwyn Davey Jnr have been named as the Bombers’ three emergencies.
Essendon and Sydney face off at the SCG this Saturday night, with the first bounce at 7:30pm.
