Essendon Football Club is finalising its Australia Post AFL Community Camp arrangements for late February when it visits Victoria's picturesque Alpine region.
The camp is based in Wangaratta and player visits will also reach the rural centres of Bright, Beechworth and Myrtleford across a 3-day camp culminating in an official Round 2 NAB Cup game against Richmond Football Club in Wangaratta on Saturday March 2 (5.10pm).
The club’s entire list will be present and will participate in a range of local activities that have been specially planned for across the camp period, including a NAB Superclinic at Wangaratta Showgrounds on Wednesday February 27, school and community visits across the region on Thursday February 28 and a final pre- NAB game training session at Wangaratta Showgrounds on Friday March 1.
Essendon Community Manager, Cameron Britt, has encouraged all North-Eastern Bomber fans to show their support for the club over the camp period via their attendance.
“With the increasing demands of modem football, there really is very limited opportunity to get the full playing list and coaching staff out to regional areas and immerse ourselves in the local community," he said.
"The Australia Post AFL Community Camp is a great opportunity to achieve this and as a club we are very much looking forward to interacting with all of our loyal Bomber fans”.
During the camp there will be a great chance to check out all the latest official merchandise available direct from the Bomber Shop.
