Essendon’s first Bomberthon Member Blitz was a huge success on Monday.

Looking to connect with as many Essendon members as possible, every available club staff member and player hit the phones at different stages of the day, resulting in a massive 4,018 total calls to the Dons faithful.

1,034 of those phone calls came directly from the playing group thanking current members for their support heading into another season, creating important connections between the squad and their fanbase.

A group of Bomber fans also found their Monday moods lifted by the prizes on offer throughout the day, including a VIP matchday experience and a $500 Accor voucher.

It marked an especially busy afternoon for the Bombers’ staff, who sold 702 memberships and counting in just a day’s work.
