Essendon Co-Captain Bonnie Toogood is making great progress in her rehabilitation from an MCL injury.
Toogood will aim to be out of her knee brace this week, with her training loads to increase over the coming weeks.
Head of Medical Services Megan Smith said Toogood’s diligent and meticulous focus has her tracking well for a return.
“As always, Bonnie has been extremely dedicated to doing everything she can to go above and beyond in her rehab,” Smith said.
“We saw her tackle the stairs in the grandstand at Windy Hill last week, and if all goes to plan, Bonnie should be out of her brace this week.”
Forward Emily Gough and defender Brooke Brown are both progressing well with their rehabilitation.
