Essendon has announced a 28-man squad to face St Kilda at RSEA Park on Friday, February 23.
The Dons' first hitout against competition ahead of the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season will see all four of Essendon's off-season recruits in Jade Gresham, Todd Goldstein, Xavier Duursma and Ben McKay get their first run in red and black.
Defender Jordan Ridley, forward Peter Wright, midfielder Ben Hobbs, and first year draftee Nate Caddy were deemed unavailable for selection as the club takes a cautious approach with minor injury concerns.
Essendon members and fans can attend tomorrow's practice game for free, with first bounce slated for 2pm.
