The AFL has today released the round one fixture for 2016.
It has been confirmed that Essendon will travel to Queensland in the opening round to take on the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday March 26.
The game will be John Worsfold's first official game as Essendon Coach.
Times are set to be confirmed when the AFL releases the full fixture on October 29.
