Essendon Football Club has been recognised for its work among the local community receiving a plaque of appreciation from St Christopher’s Primary School in Airport West.
 
Bevan Sweerts from St Christopher’s presented the club’s Community department with the plaque at the True Value Solar Centre on Friday afternoon.
 
Essendon’s community team assisted the school with the running of their 2014 Football Day for students.
 
The club values the opportunity to work with the local community and has assisted St Christopher’s with the running of the event for the last three years.
