The details for Essendon AFLW's match simulation training and practice matches in the lead up to the 2023 NAB AFLW Season has been released.

Essendon will face North Melbourne at Windy Hill on Saturday, August 12 before heading west to take on the Eagles on Sunday, August 20 at Mineral Resources Park.

All practice matches will be streamed via essendonfc.com.au, with practice matches free to attend. The practice matches will give fans their first glimpse into recently introduced rule adjustments, which includes longer quarters, interchange caps, adjustments to boundary throw ins and a cap on the use of runners.

The match-ups for the match simulation trainings reflect those across the same weekend in Round 22 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
