Bombers fall agonisingly short to Power

Despite an inspired late comeback, Essendon fell to Port Adelaide in a thrilling finish at the MCG on Saturday night.

The Bombers gave a solid account of themselves to fight back in the final term and regain the lead in torrential conditions, but ultimately fell to a kick after the siren.

Jye Caldwell was a standout, building on his impressive campaign with 24 disposals and two goals.

Essendon will be looking to respond strongly against an attacking Adelaide outfit at Marvel Stadium this Sunday, with kids under the age of 14 able to attend for free.
