Paul Chapman is recognised throughout the competition as one of the key components to Geelong's successful era of the last ten years and will in 2014 be lining up in the red and black.

He played his junior football with the Northern Saints in the Essendon District Football League before joining the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup where he was drafted to Geelong with pick 31 in the 1999 national draft.

The versatile forward played just 15 matches during his first two seasons at the Cats before becoming a regular in 2002 with his hard nosed approach at the football.

In 2006 he broke through with his most consistent season seeing him take out the Geelong best and fairest, Carji Greeves Medal, ahead of Jimmy Bartel and Gary Ablett Jr.

The following season he would be part of a team that went on to win three premierships in 2007, 2009 and 2011.

Three goals and 26 disposals in the 2009 Grand Final against St. Kilda saw him take out the Norm Smith medal for best a field.

Chapman is a multiple All Australian having been named in the side in both 2009 and 2010.

The football journey of Chapman is now set to continue when he wears the famous red sash during the 2014 season after today joining the Bombers in the Trade period.
