Essendon could play in front of three massive crowds at the MCG within the first two months of next season, according to former Coach Kevin Sheedy.

The Bombers drawing power remained strong in 2015 with the Club ranked fourth overall despite winning just six games.

Sheedy expects the National Farmers Day initiative to generate another large crowd for the Club.

“If we roll out next year and in the first seven weeks you’ve got (crowds of) 90 thousand, 90 thousand, 90 thousand on National Farming, Anzac Day and Dreamtime – well there wouldn’t be any city in the world that will get a packed house three times in about seven weeks with suburbs playing against each other,” he told SEN.

Sheedy has travelled around the country and internationally throughout the season in his capacity as General Manager of Commercial Development and Innovation.

“I just got back from Pearl Harbor – I’ve been looking at different ways of looking at Anzac Day next year,” he said.

“I had a fantastic time in Geraldton looking at where the HMAS Sydney went down and the memorial there.

“That’s the job I’ve been asked to do, get in to new fresh air and look at different aspects.

“I’m there to create another icon match which is seriously right on the agenda right now.”
