The annual Hume Cup came to an exciting conclusion on Thursday with two Broadmeadows based schools taking out victories in both netball and football competitions.
Proudly supported by Essendon Football Club, the Hume Cup was started to provide schools within the Hume region an opportunity to participate in a community sporting event. The event was run in conjunction with students from SEDA – Sports Education Development Australia.
Competing schools this year included Campbellfield Heights Primary School, Broadmeadows PS, Roxburgh Park PS, Meadows PS and Broadmeadows Valley PS.
In the round robin style competition, Broadmeadows Valley PS took out the netball championship, while Broadmeadows PS were victors in the football.
