Essendon skipper Jobe Watson has finishedequal 17th overall at the annual Brownlow Medal Count this evening, behind winnerDane Swan, Sam Mitchell and Nick Dal Santo who placed second and third respectively.

The Bombers recorded a total of 15 players who each polled Brownlow votes for the night, highlighting the depth of the young side this season.

Watson finished with the most votes for Essendon (15) despite his string of injurywoes throughout the season 
ahead of Brent Stanton and Michael Hurley (6),Heath Hocking (5), David Zaharakis and Dyson Heppell (4), David Hille,Dustin Fletcher, Kyle Reimers, Angus Monfries and Jake Melksham (3), StewartCrameri (2) and Patrick Ryder, David Myers and Ben Howlett (1).
