The 2022 VFL Best and Fairest was tonight held at Windy Hill as all the award winners were announced.

The Stevens Family Most Valuable Staff Member Award – went to, Joanne Cowan. The Stevens Family have been involved with the Essendon Football Club for 128 consecutive years, which is a remarkable story and achievement. The Stevens Family are an integral part of the Essendon Fabric.

The Leading Goal Kicker Award was awarded to Kaine Baldwin with 24 goals.

The Best First Year Player is awarded to the player who has received the highest number of votes under the age of 22 in his first season with the Essendon Football Club and this year, Alastair Lord took out the honours. 

The Jack Feain Best Clubman Award is voted on by all VFL Staff and is awarded to the player that best represents the club’s values, attitudes, and always goes out of their way to support those at the club. Billy Cootee has taken out he award for 2022.
