Essendon supporters are urged to get down and support their VFL side on Saturday when it plays its first game at Windy Hill in four weeks.

A big contingent of Essendon players and coaching staff are expected to be in attendance following Friday night’s clash against North Melbourne.

“We’d love to see a lot of support there. The players playing on Friday night will be down to watch,” VFL Coach Hayden Skipworth said.

“It will be great to have a lot of fans at Windy Hill supporting the boys, they certainly get a big kick out of hearing a big crowd down there.”

North Ballarat are expected to challenge the Bombers following a strong showing against Box Hill Hawks a week ago.

The Roosters fell five points short of last year’s Grand Finalists despite holding the second last position on the ladder.

“They’re going to be tough opposition,” Skipworth said.

“To just lose to Box Hill, who are a fantastic team in the VFL, and push them right until the last period of the game means we’re going to have to be on our game to get the win.”

Essendon members are able to show their cards to gain FREE entry into Windy Hill on Saturday. The first bounce will take place at 12pm.
