Essendon's round 17 side to take on Brisbane at The Gabba on Sunday has been finalised.

Defender Andrew McGrath and ruckman Andrew Phillips have come into the side, with Darcy Parish (injury) and Jake Kelly (omitted) the outs for the match.

Sunday's fixture will see McGrath return from an adductor injury, while Phillips has been brought in after being last week's unused medical sub.

While named in yesterday's squad, Essendon today announced Parish will miss approximately four weeks with a calf strain.

Round 17 will mark the first game Kelly has not been selected in the Dons' best 22 since coming to the club this year.
