Captains and coaches of the rebel VFLW Grand Final teams have come together in the build up to the 2022 premiership decider this Sunday July 3, with Essendon and Southern Saints to clash at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne at 12:15pm.
The 2022 rebel VFLW Grand Final will be broadcast live on the Seven Network in Victoria, with a free stream also available at AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App. Entry to the ground is free.
Essendon went through the home-and-away season undefeated, finishing with 12 wins and two draws to claim the minor premiership.
The Bombers booked the first spot in the 2022 rebel VFLW Grand Final by defeating Hawthorn in the qualifying final and Casey Demons in the second semi final.
Southern Saints finished the home-and-away season in fifth place and have produced a stunning run to advance to the Grand Final.
The Saints have produced three successive finals wins against Geelong, Hawthorn and Casey Demons to reach the premiership decider.
AFL Head of State League Competitions Jennie Loughnan said the 2022 rebel VFLW Grand Final was the showcase women's football match in Victoria.
“As the state’s premier women’s football league, the rebel VFLW Competition has showcased the state’s best football talent throughout the season and this will be highlighted in the 2022 rebel VFLW Grand Final on Sunday,” Loughnan said.
