The bidding meeting for nominated Father-Sonplayers will be held at 10am on Monday before the beginning of the AFL Tradeperiod.

Essendon has nominated Joe Daniher (CalderCannons), the son of Anthony who played 118 games for the Bombers between1987-1994.

Each other club in the competition has theoption to bid, in reverse ladder order, for Daniher.

If a bid is made for Daniher, Essendon willbe required to use its next available selection if it wishes to retain Joe.

If a Club nominating the Father-Son player declines to match theselection nominated, the Club with the successful bid must use that selectionat the NAB AFL Draft to select theplayer.

The Club that makes the successful bid on a father-son selection isbound to the selection they nominated.

If no bid is made for Daniher by another Club, Essendon would forfeit theirlast selection in the AFL Draft to select the player.

Compensation selections that have been activated by Clubs for theupcoming Draft can not be used in the bidding process.

Essendon's 2012 AFL Draft coverage is proudly supported by Kia.
