Essendon will kick-off season 2002 on Saturday, March 30 when it plays a night game against Geelong at the MCG. It will be one of nine games the Bombers are scheduled to play at the MCG during season 2002. Essendon fans won't have to wait long for a re-match of the 2001 Grand Final - the Bombers will travel to the Gabba for a round three, night fixture on Friday, April 5th. The first of eight Colonial Stadium matches comes in round four on a Friday night against Adelaide. The Bombers play interstate on five occasions, have seven Friday night games and five Sunday games. Essendon plays Sydney at Stadium Australia in round nine - a Saturday night encounter on May 25th. The full draw is attached.
