After starting across half forward, Jackson Merrett has moved to the wing.  

Sam Grimley is playing alongside Joe Daniher in attack, with Grimley opening the Dons account early in the third quarter.

Ten minutes into the third term Geelong ball efficiency was 73% compared to Essendon's 57%.

The Essendon defence has been under pressure, but Patrick Ambrose is continuing his impressive form as a defender.  He's kept Daniel Menzel to five possessions and no goals.

Aaron Francis kicked his first goal of his AFL career late in the term on the back of some good lead up play by Zach Merrett, Joe Daniher and Courtenay Dempsey.  Every Essendon player on the ground congratulated Francis.

Essendon kicked three goals in the term compared to Geelong's four.
