James Kelly has been busy against his former side.  Playing on a wing, Kelly had collected 16 possessions by the ten minute mark of the second term.

At the midway point of the second quarter, Essendon led the clearances 15-7, but trailed the inside 50's 22-16.

Mitch Brown has taken seven marks in the Bombers defence.

Turnovers in the midfield cost the Dons with the Cats launching six inside 50's and booting three goals from 12 defensive midfield intercepts.

At half time the Bombers are down by 42 points.

Kelly (19), Zach Merrett (16) and Darcy Parish (15) are the leading ball winners for Essendon.
