Essendon will blood another two debutants in its season opener on Saturday, with Nic Martin and Jake Kelly today receiving the special news.
Martin (AFL debut) and Kelly (club debut) will join forward Kaine Baldwin in donning the sash for the first time when the Bombers face the Cats in the Powercor Country Festival game at the MCG.
It's an incredible story for Martin, who started training at the club in January after relocating to Melbourne from WAFL side Subiaco.

The high half-forward made an instant impression, booting four goals in an intraclub match in February and then impressing in a practice match against the Bulldogs to be signed in the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period.
Kelly, a former teammate of senior coach Ben Rutten from his Adelaide days, joined the Bombers as an unrestricted free agent in September.
The hard-nosed defender finished seventh in Adelaide's best and fairest last season, playing 110 games at the Crows.
He's set to add defensive steel to the Bombers' rearguard with his aggression and competitiveness.
The Bombers will name their full line-up at 6:20pm AEDT today.
