18-year-old Orazio Fantasia will make his debut against Richmond at the MCG on Friday night.
Fantasia will play his first game at AFL level in the red and black after a strong season at VFL level.
The South Australian small forward/midfielder was selected with selection 55 in the 2013 National Draft.
A lightly framed footballer he reads the game well and is agile in tight spaces.
He played in an SANFL premiership for Norwood last season before being recruited to the Bombers where he has blossomed in the VFL team.
Hayden Skipworth is thrilled Fantasia has been given an opportunity at AFL level.
“Orazio’s form of late has been outstanding and he has added some real flexibility to his game with his ability to play forward, on the ball or down back.”
“He has had had an extremely impressive first year on an AFL list continuing to learn and improve his game throughout the season.”
“It is through plenty of hard work that he has earned the opportunity of a call up to the senior team.”
Fantasia becomes the fifth debutant for the club in 2014 alongside Zach Merrett, Dylan Van Unen, Marty Gleeson and Jason Ashby.
