Essendon star Joe Daniher is “really excited” about lining up alongside new recruit Jake Stringer in 2018.

Stringer joined the Bombers via the trade period last month and Daniher said he was looking forward to playing with the former Bulldog again.

“I played with Jake a few years ago as a junior,” Daniher said.

“I am looking forward to working with Jake. He’s a good friend of mine and I am really excited about what he can bring to our footy club,”

Daniher said the additions of Devon Smith, Adam Saad and Jake Stringer would add significant value to the Bombers in 2018.

“All three are quality AFL players and have proven that through their time in the AFL system but not only that they are three quality good blokes so we’re excited to see them all put on the red and black.”
