Essendon CEO Ian Robson said tonight it was incumbent on the club to leave no stone unturned when it comes to bringing elite talent to Windy Hill.
However, Robson said media speculation tonight that Essendon Football club had put an offer in front of Melbourne Storm star Greg Inglis was incorrect.
“We are always looking for opportunities to bring elite-level athletes to the club, particularly during a period when the game is under-going significant expansion,"" Robson said.
“We haven’t put an offer to Greg but should he express an interest in playing AFL football we would like to be at the front of what would be a long queue.”
Essendon's 'home' match on Saturday night against Hawthorn is also a designated ‘home’ match for Hawks General Admission (GA) members because they play four home games in Tasmania so get the opportunity to attend four ‘away’ matches in Melbourne as ‘home’ matches.
As such, all Essendon Bronze GA members should get to the game as early as possible to ensure they get a seat in the GA designated area.
