Essendon has been strengthened by the re-commitment of co-major partner Fujitsu General Australia for a further four years ahead of its elimination final against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.
Proudly, the extension takes the loyal partnership to 12 consecutive years. With a core focus on supporting the Bombers’ grassroots, community and female football programs, the Fujitsu General Australia logo will continue to remain on the club’s AFL playing guernsey between 2022-2025.
The partnership is also strengthened by Fujitsu General Australia’s involvement in the EFC Network – the Bombers’ networking platform that brings together its valued commercial partners, corporate clients and coteries groups.
Chief executive officer Xavier Campbell acknowledged the strength of the genuine partnership between the Essendon Football Club and Fujitsu Australia.
“The partnership between the Essendon Football Club and Fujitsu General Australia has been very successful and we are incredibly thankful for their continued support for at least another four years,” Campbell said.
“On the eve of our 150th anniversary year, and with the inception of our historic AFLW team in 2022, as well as the direction of our AFL program, we enter the next four years with much optimism knowing we boast a terrific alignment with a wonderful organisation like Fujitsu General Australia.
“Finally, to everyone at Fujitsu General Australia, led by managing director Philip Perham and his team, we want to say thank-you. We love working with you all and this is a wonderful show of faith in the continued direction of this football club.”
Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand managing director Philip Perham said there was a shared vision between the two organisations.
“As Essendon heads into the finals round of the 2021 AFL season, Fujitsu General is extremely proud to announce its ongoing commitment to the club as co-major partner for another four years,” Perham said.
“Fujitsu General is a business that seeks out and commits to like-minded partners. The partnership with Essendon also enables Fujitsu General to reach a broader network as part of its commitment to playing sports accessible to many through grassroots programs, and the club’s diverse and inclusive community initiatives.
“We are also very excited for Essendon’s VFLW team following confirmation of the licence to be part of the AFLW competition in 2022.
“The partnership with Essendon has been very successful and enables Fujitsu to reach the club’s extensive 81,000-strong membership base to help with brand awareness and unique content creation.
“On behalf of the entire Fujitsu General network, I want to congratulate Essendon’s management team, support staff and players for its success during this challenging year and wish them all the best for the finals and beyond."
