Essendon will face the Western Bulldogs in an elimination final in Launceston on Sunday.
The AFL tonight confirmed the week one finals fixture, which will see the eighth-placed Bombers take to UTAS Stadium against the fifth-placed Bulldogs.
It will mark the Dons' second match at the venue this season, and first finals game in Tasmania in AFL history.
The Bombers will head into the cut-throat final with confidence, having defeated the Bulldogs in round 21 to start a three-game winning streak.
The highly anticipated clash will be shown live on Channel Seven.
