Essendon has continued its annual financial support towards its community clubs, distributing $190,000 to 10 local sporting clubs including the Essendon Tennis Club.
The contribution provides a key boost for the local clubs’ resources and day-to-day operations, promoting sporting participation within the wider Essendon community.
It continues the Bombers’ widespread community activity in 2024, which has held a renewed focus towards the northwest corridor and supporting clubs in the surrounding areas of Windy Hill.
These opportunities are made possible by the continued support of the Windy Hill Venue, which has been a key focus for the club, particularly in recent months.
Chief Strategy Officer Mark Bolton highlighted the ongoing partnership with the Essendon Tennis Club and the Dons’ ongoing push to support its local area.
“Local sporting clubs are integral to our community footprint and we’re excited to be able to provide this contribution once again,” Bolton said.
“We have a strong relationship with the Essendon Tennis Club among many of our other affiliates. We’re confident that our support can help these clubs thrive and boost sporting activity for kids in our heartland.
“The Essendon area has been a real focal point for our community strategy this year and we’re keen to keep that going into 2025.”
