I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmasand a happy and safe New Year.
Our club has made huge strides in 2011 and I’d like to take this opportunity to pass on a special thank you for all the support and passion you have given Essendon Football Club this year.
One areawe continue to thrive in is the unified mindset of our members andsupporters.
I would like to thank you for the way you have notonly supported our club but the way you have got behind everything we are doingto build for the future.
I am not naïve to know that much of thisunity has been built from the extraordinary presence and strength of JamesHird.
James is a wonderful leader at our club and we mustcontinue to give him and the football department the resources they need tocompete.
There were so many wonderful highlights to dwell onfrom 2011. From the high of our win against Geelong to the great privilege ofseeing long time supporter and volunteer Merna Slattery presented with lifemembership, the club continues to play its role in bringing pleasure to so manypeople.
My Christmas wish is that we all continue to beunified and strong in our support for the club we love so much.
Whether that's buying a membership, donating to theFlight Plan or simply supporting the team, it will all help.
You can all be sure that we are working extremelyhard to give our fans something to be proud of.
With Christmas fast approaching, I wish everybody involvedwith Essendon Football Club a safe, happy and healthy festive season.
