Young forward Irving Mosquito has been granted personal leave and has returned to his hometown of Halls Creek in the East Kimberly region of Western Australia as he manages his recovery program from an ACL injury.
General manager of football Josh Mahoney said the 20-year-old had the full support of the club.
“Long-term rehabilitation is a tough proposition for all injured players, and certainly Irving has been transparent about his struggles throughout his recovery period. He recently asked to return home to be with his community and we were supportive of Irving taking the time to work through that,” Mahoney said.
“His wellbeing is our immediate priority and we will continue to work with Irving on what this means for his playing future.”
