Essendon will play back-to-back Saturday night games across round 11 and Sir Doug Nicholls Round, following the AFL's latest fixture update.

The Bombers will head west to face West Coast at Optus Stadium on May 29, before hosting Richmond on June 5 in the annual Dreamtime at the 'G blockbuster.

This season will mark the 17th Dreamtime match between the Bombers and Tigers - 16th at the MCG given last year's was played in Darwin - in what will again be the showpiece game of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
